• Vernon and Ellen were married in 1963

• Great Grandparents of fifteen 
• Santa served as Pastor in three churches in Oregon for 35 years
• Mrs. Claus taught all ages of children in Sunday School during those years
• Retired to Idaho in 2000
• Mrs. Claus has a passion for helping folks write their life story
• Santa enjoys keeping their yard looking nice
• They attend Ten Mile Christian Church in Meridian
• They love serving as “The Santa Couple” in retirement

It all began in 2001 when Vernon’s beard had turned white, and folks started calling him “Santa.”  Ellen, Vernon’s wife, made his first Santa suit and has it ever been fun.  It took a bit but Ellen joined him on is visits.

In 2024 Santa Steve joined Vernon and Ellen’s team as one of their Santa’s and has been going strong ever since. Wendy joined him in all of the fun when she was ready. Even getting the grandkids involved in being elves with them and making it fun for the whole family. In early 2026 Steve and Wendy were blessed enough to become the new Santa Couple and are excited to for what God has in store for them.

It has been an amazing journey that they highly recommend to any other natural bearded guys.  (We can even help the younger guys with bleaching your beard for the Santa season.)  We can help you get started.  There is a great market for Santa’s in the Treasure Valley.
